Fall Activities & Events

Here are some fun activities to do in Washington this fall and these are just a few of the many things to do this year!

Washington State Fair

August 30 – September. 22, 2024

The Washington State Fair, held annually in Puyallup, Washington, is the largest and most anticipated fair in the state, drawing visitors from near and far to celebrate the region’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage. This grand event features a diverse array of attractions, including thrilling carnival rides, entertaining games, livestock exhibitions, and 4-H competitions. Fairgoers can also enjoy live music performances by renowned artists, mouth-watering food vendors offering a vast selection of fair treats, and captivating displays of local arts and crafts. This fair features Home Arts, Tractor Tracks, Outpost 47, The Farm at SillyVille, Hobby Hall, Washington State Photographers Exhibition, International Photo Salon, Agriculture & Horticulture Displays, Floral Exhibit, Fair Farm, Fine Art Show, concerts, and rodeo! The Great Prosser Balloon Rally

September 27,28, 29, 2024

Hot Air Balloons take to the sky at The Great Prosser Balloon Rally. The balloons are scheduled to launch at sunrise from the Prosser Washington Airport on September 27,28, 29 (weather permitting). Pilots from all over the Northwestern United States will converge on Prosser Washington to participate in The 35th Annual Great Prosser Balloon Rally. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early (about 6:15 a.m.) at the Prosser Airport to watch the pilots prepare the giant balloons. Some lucky spectators are even asked to assist the balloon pilots inflate, chase, and recover the Hot-Air-Balloons. Learn More

Oktoberfest Celebrations:

Oktoberfest Northwest

October 4-6, 2024

Enjoy traditional Oktoberfest music and dance, authentic German food, a large variety of German bier poured in steins, Weiner Dog Races, Stein Dash 5K, Sports Haus, Bavarian Bier-lympics, Root Beer Garden, and the Northwest’s exclusive Hammerschlagen® Tournament of Champions. The event closes out Friday and Saturday nights with the Puget Sound’s top 80’s cover bands. Learn More

Oktoberfest Leavenworth, WA

October 4-5, 11-12, & 18-19

From bands playing traditional Bavarian Music to cover bands, three stages allow us to provide something for everyone. Check the program and performer bios for more details, however as a rule of thumb Gazebo Stage at Front Street Park is the venue for traditional Bavarian Music. The Bierzelt Tent is a bit edgier with cover contemporary cover bands. The Festhalle stage offers a variety of experiences from traditional dancers and musicians in the afternoon to bands offering a bit of both traditional and contemporary favorites in the evening hours. Learn More
